The Casa Capri Recovery Story
Melissa Holmes Goodmon & Family
Founder & CEO
The Casa Capri Recovery story began in 2006 when Founder and CEO, Melissa Holmes Goodmon finally surrendered to her own battle with drug and alcohol addiction. Originally from the South, the decision to get help led her across the country to California. She luckily landed in Orange County, a recovery community gem, where she has remained. Through hope, lots of hard work and determination, she learned to stand on her own two feet building a big beautiful life in recovery. With her newfound freedom, Melissa was able to work, return to school, maintain important relationships, and develop a huge support network of other recovering people.
Melissa always felt called to help others, so it was no surprise when she began working with women in a treatment center early in her own recovery. She quickly became a true professional in the industry, working her way from support staff becoming a Licensed Addiction Counselor and eventually spearheading the expansion of the area’s most successful treatment based academic programs. Her passion and tenacity set her apart and she went on to hold positions of Admissions Counselor and National Business Development Representative.
In 2011, Melissa’s knowledge and experience collided with her passion and drive to help other women and Casa Capri Recovery was born. The vision was a treatment center like no other, a program specifically designed to serve and help women recover from addiction. Since that time, Melissa has taken an active role in ensuring that her vision remains true and that every woman who bravely enters the doors is given the tools needed to shift their direction so they too can receive the benefits and freedom of recovery.

Casa Capri Recovery is unlike most addiction treatment programs because our services and program offerings cater specifically to the needs of women. Our curriculum is expertly designed to help women replace damaging and destructive beliefs, patterns, and behaviors with new, healthy, positive ones, creating a wholehearted shift upon which to build a beautiful sober life.
Our team is made up of some of the most dynamic women in the industry and we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes recovery and healing for our clients and their families. We have empathy and compassion with our clients and understand what it takes to succeed on this life-saving, life-changing journey because we are also women in recovery—we get it—and will do everything it takes to make sure you have the tools necessary to thrive on your own personal recovery journey.
Very often women enter treatment feeling ashamed, alone, hopeless, and unworthy. Our strength is in our ability to meet women where they are and see beyond the behaviors in order to address their underlying cause. Casa Capri Recovery is intentionally small and intimate as recovery requires a tremendous amount of courage and trust. Ours is an ideal setting in which to cultivate both. Women must experience connection in order to believe they have value, are needed, and deserve to heal. Casa Capri Recovery has been successful at incorporating this mindset into our community and culture and, in our sacred space, women grow together, create deep bonds, and form lasting supportive friendships. The women we serve become part of the Casa Capri Recovery family while they are in our care…and beyond.
Our all-female staff and nurturing environment create a safe and empowering space that cultivates deep healing—not only of addictive behaviors, but also trauma, eating disorders, multiple addiction types, and commonly co-occurring mental conditions such as anxiety and depression that often accompany women suffering from addiction.
Casa Capri Recovery’s facilities are warm and inviting—designed to feel like home. Each house is purposefully put together to give our women the most comfortable experience throughout their stay with us.
